Will CCH Central perform as well in the cloud as on our local server?
In almost every case, yes – and often better. Our dedicated server infrastructure is significantly more powerful than the typical on-premise server in an accountancy practice. You get consistent, fast performance without the bottlenecks that come from shared local hardware.
How do we access CCH Central in the cloud?
Your team connects to a hosted Windows desktop environment via a lightweight client or browser. From there, CCH Central looks and behaves exactly as it does locally – the only difference is it’s running on our servers rather than yours. Cisco Duo MFA is required at login.
How is the migration handled?
We manage the entire migration – data export, environment configuration, import and testing – planned carefully around your schedule. Migrations are typically completed outside business hours to minimise disruption, with full testing before go-live and your existing environment left in place until you’re satisfied everything is working correctly.
What happens to our CCH data in a disaster scenario?
Your CCH environment is backed up daily and retained for 30 days. In the event of a serious infrastructure incident, our recovery time objective is 4 hours – meaning your practice can be back up and running within half a working day. We test our recovery procedures regularly.
